Professional Intent

As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon a range of styles and theories, and fully embrace diversity with openness to people from all cultures, backgrounds, orientations and preferences. At the heart of my approach is our relationship (client and counsellor) and I pay attention to what is happening in the moment: the significance of how we relate to each other; the rhythm and tone we create. Staying present to what the moment brings can help to enhance our awareness and lead to self-acceptance.

Therapeutic Commitment:

  • to build a therapeutic relationship with you based on honesty, trust and mutual respect.
  • to help you to gain insight, clarity and acceptance to the issues you bring and to hold the space for you to process feelings and challenges that may arise.
  • to support you to develop your inner resources to better face uncertainty, conflict and situations that trigger you.
  • to honour your unique individuality with full respect and care.
